01 Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dedoom, including the Dedoom browser extension, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By installing, accessing, or using Dedoom, creating a Dedoom account, or purchasing Dedoom Pro, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not install or use the Service.
Dedoom is currently operated as an independent software project and is not presently incorporated as a separate legal entity. References to "Dedoom," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Dedoom project, as applicable.
02 Nature of the Service
Mindful Focus Companion
Dedoom is a behavioral habit-breaking and productivity tool designed to introduce cognitive friction, humor, intention prompts, and other interventions into online browsing.
Dedoom is intended to help users become more deliberate about how they use distracting websites and applications.
Dedoom is not a medical device, healthcare service, mental-health treatment, or substitute for professional medical or psychological care.
Dedoom does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
Individual results may vary depending on personal circumstances, usage, consistency, and habits. Dedoom does not guarantee any particular improvement in productivity, concentration, screen time, attention, or behavioral outcomes.
You retain control over your use of the Service and may modify your settings, snooze interventions, disable features, or remove the extension at any time.
03 Eligibility
Dedoom is intended for general audiences and is not directed toward children.
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.
If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Dedoom only with the involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
Dedoom does not knowingly provide services to children under 13.
04 License Grant & Restrictions
Subject to these Terms, Dedoom grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of proprietary components of Dedoom, except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Circumvent, manipulate, or artificially inflate the Doom Score, rewards, statistics, or other Dedoom systems using automated scripts, bots, artificial traffic, or other abusive methods.
- Resell, sublicense, lease, redistribute, or commercially exploit Dedoom or its proprietary assets without express authorization.
- Attempt to interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the Service.
- Configure or use Dedoom to generate excessive automated requests against third-party services.
- Use Dedoom in a manner that violates applicable law or the terms of third-party platforms.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict rights that cannot legally be restricted under applicable law.
05 Pro Subscriptions & Duo Pass
Dedoom provides free functionality and optional paid features through Dedoom Pro.
Pro Subscriptions
Dedoom Pro may be offered on monthly or annual billing cycles, as presented at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
The applicable price, billing frequency, and renewal terms will be presented before you complete your purchase.
Payment processing is handled by our designated payment provider. Dedoom does not store full payment-card numbers or CVV/security codes.
You may cancel your subscription through the billing-management controls made available through your Dedoom account.
Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal while allowing continued access to Pro features through the remainder of the current paid period.
Duo Pass
Where offered, one Dedoom Pro subscription may allow the primary subscriber to invite one accountability partner ("Buddy") at no additional subscription charge.
Each participant maintains separate account credentials and their own Dedoom account.
Duo Pass functionality is limited to the information necessary to provide the applicable accountability features.
Specific browsing URLs and browsing history are not shared with a Buddy through Dedoom's synchronization system.
Refund Policy
Pro subscriptions are generally non-refundable after purchase, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided by Dedoom.
If you believe you were charged in error or experienced a significant technical issue that prevented you from using Pro, you can contact us through our Contact Us form and we'll review the request.
Cancellation of a subscription prevents future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.
Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, Dedoom may restrict or suspend Pro functionality until payment is successfully completed.
Your account may continue to retain information associated with your subscription subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
06 User Conduct & Content
You are responsible for configuring your personal Dedoom settings, including your Hitlist, intervention preferences, and custom intention text.

- Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
- Violate applicable law.
- Violate the applicable terms or policies of third-party platforms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Dedoom accounts, systems, or infrastructure.
Dedoom is intended to work alongside third-party websites and services. Using Dedoom does not grant you additional rights to access, modify, scrape, automate, or interfere with those services.
07 Third-Party Services
Dedoom may interact with or operate alongside third-party websites, applications, browsers, infrastructure providers, and payment services.
These may include services such as:

- Authentication or cloud infrastructure providers
Dedoom is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, Stripe, or other third-party services referenced by the Service unless expressly stated otherwise.
Your use of third-party services remains subject to their respective terms, policies, and technical requirements.
Third-party services may change their interfaces, functionality, policies, APIs, technical systems, or access requirements at any time. Such changes may affect Dedoom's functionality.
08 Intellectual Property
The Dedoom name, Doomie character, original illustrations, interface designs, badge graphics, sound design, source code, written materials, and other original materials created for Dedoom are owned by or licensed to the operator of Dedoom and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except where expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, redistribute, modify, sell, license, or commercially exploit proprietary Dedoom materials.
Third-Party Media
Dedoom may display third-party images, memes, or other media for purposes that may include commentary, parody, satire, criticism, or other transformative uses.
Dedoom does not claim ownership of third-party materials.
The presence of third-party material within Dedoom does not mean that Dedoom claims that every such use qualifies for a particular legal exception or doctrine.
If you believe material displayed through Dedoom infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, please submit a request through our Contact Us form with sufficient information for us to identify and investigate the material.
09 Availability & Compatibility
Dedoom depends in part on third-party browsers, websites, applications, operating systems, APIs, page structures, and other technical systems.
Changes to third-party platforms may cause individual Dedoom features to:
- Stop working.
- Behave differently.
- Become temporarily unavailable.
- Require an update.
- Require changes to Dedoom's implementation.
This is particularly relevant to features that surgically filter or remove elements such as Shorts, Reels, or other feed content from third-party websites.
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain and improve compatibility, but we do not guarantee that every feature will remain compatible with every third-party platform at all times.
We may also temporarily suspend parts of the Service for maintenance, security, technical issues, or other operational reasons.
10 Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dedoom is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
We do not guarantee that:
- Dedoom will always be available.
- The Service will be uninterrupted or completely error-free.
- Every intervention will occur successfully.
- Every blocked website or application will remain blocked.
- Third-party websites will remain compatible with Dedoom.
- Feed-filtering features will always function as intended.
- Your data will never be lost or corrupted.
- Dedoom will produce a particular productivity, concentration, screen-time, or behavioral outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Dedoom will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
This may include, where legally permitted, loss of data, productivity, profits, revenue, business opportunities, or other intangible losses.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dedoom's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will be limited to the amount you paid to Dedoom for the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
12 Termination & Modifications
Termination by You
You may stop using Dedoom and remove the extension at any time.
You may also cancel your Pro subscription in accordance with the subscription terms described above.
Termination or Suspension by Dedoom
We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary because of:
- Fraudulent or abusive activity.
- Security concerns.
- Repeated violations of these Terms.
- Failed or reversed payments.
- Attempts to compromise or disrupt the Service.
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before terminating access, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or protection of the Service.
Termination does not automatically eliminate obligations that by their nature should continue after termination, including applicable intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, or operational practices.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, website, or another appropriate method where practicable.
The updated Terms will identify their effective date.
Your continued use of Dedoom after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
